DuckDB added support for postgres in a recent release and SQLite as well. There are discussions of adding some sort of ODBC/database connectivity but itās very early stage. Thereās also an extension framework and I added an extension to quack down data from Athena.
You can connect metabase and superset to duckdb. There's also another tool called tad that lets you query the data https://duckdb.org/docs/guides/data_viewers/tad.html.
