Ethercon works well as a 4-channel multipin - not quite single-cable but much cheaper than a “proper” multipin and more rugged than DB25 or ELCO. Karl Swanson designed a nice PCB breakout for an NE8FDV (or the cheaper REAN variant now available through Mouser). Assuming 4 channels of ears and up to 4 channels of RF input, you could loom together 3x CAT6 STP lines for ears output/mics input/control network and have a nice little interconnect.
