As was already said, just plop it into ~/nixos-config or whatever and then use nixos-rebuild switch --use-remote-sudo --flake . from that directory. When https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/216710 gets merged, the --use-remote-sudo will not be necessary :)
