Noticed that MKS' SERVO42C steppers can be PC controlled, and am looking at writing something to control them via Klipper

  • MKS-SERVO42C

MKS SERVO42C, an upgraded version of MKS SERVO42B, built-in Field-Oriented control algorithm, position/speed/ torque closed-loop, 4 Half bridge driver with 8 MOSFET, it makes the motor quieter, lower vibration and Lower calorific.

  • Despite the firmware source for them not being there, they well-documented the commands to read from and control them: https://github.com/makerbase-mks/MKS-SERVO42C/wiki/Serial-communication-description one thing I'm not sure about is how to get Klipper to send commands over a USART to USB adapter to the closed loop steppers or to display some data from the steppers in klipper screen, mainsail, or fluidd, so I could use some help there.

  • InfluxDB
