Languages to implement in space-constrained environments

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on /r/ProgrammingLanguages

Our great sponsors
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • ToastCPU

ToastCPU is a 16-bit architecture spec, an emulator, an FPGA implementation, and an assembler

  • However, the more that I worked in the language (I called it toastlang), the more I found myself hitting the 32k limit. For example, this small test suite already takes up ~7000 words! In my research, it seems like optimization (both space and speed) is poorly understood and studied in these concatenative stack-based languages. (Please let me know if I am completely wrong on this!)

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.
