SurveyJS
Open-Source JSON Form Builder to Create Dynamic Forms Right in Your App. With SurveyJS form UI libraries, you can build and style forms in a fully-integrated drag & drop form builder, render them in your JS app, and store form submission data in any backend, inc. PHP, ASP.NET Core, and Node.js.
For a package manager I usually use yarn instead of npm. But npm is fine nowadays too.
I was in a very similar situation 2 months ago and decided to bite the bullet and done the Odin project course https://www.theodinproject.com/ . Today I can easily write a full react app using grid and flex for CSS. I can't recommend it enough. The thing I like the most being already a full time back-end dev is that it doesn't hold your hand or explains you 10 times what is an if condition is. It's fast paced and project focused without handholding you. Like, you have to google a fair amount, and look for best practices yourself. You know like in real dev life. Oh and it's 100% free.
