Hello, I'm pretty new to home-manager and nix, but love the idea and would like to explore it more, but sadly there aren't really that many examples of it so I thought i'd ask here. I'm using helix editor (https://github.com/helix-editor/helix) and was wondering if it's possible to use home manager to build it from github repo so I could have it more up to date than versions from nixpkgs. My first attempt: https://github.com/nxy7/dotfiles/blob/main/nixpkgs/home.nix Clearly I don't know what i'm doing xD Any help and good configs with some documentation would be greatly appreciated :-)

For example, here is my personal repository. I import it as such in my home.nix, and I add its packages to home.packages as such.
If you're in a huge rush to package helix, you could also take a look at the derivation in nixpkgs to get some ideas. It could potentially be as simple as swapping out the source and the sha265sums.
