Curious about legitimacy of flatpak

  Offline password manager with cross-platform synchronization

  

Has anyone on here tried out the flatpak called Passy? I've been looking for a good password manager that is exclusively offline for years (almost to the point where I considered writing one myself), and came across this potential gem. I checked out the github and saw promising results, so I went ahead and installed the application. I'm not suspicious of malware or anything, rather just cautious about my sensitive user credentials and would like to know if this application is trustworthy in that aspect?

Well KeypassXC would probably be a better choice for an offline password manager. It's just a larger project with more active development and maintenance. It's not clear to me from the Passy page even who the developer is there.

The flatpak manifest builds the flatpak by downloading and extracting a zipped built binary from github. Even if you reviewed all of the source code, you can't be sure that is what ends up in the flatpak.
