Destiny and Destiny-related icons to use in your projects

  • I discovered the new hashtags and symbols available on the beta earlier today and I am loving them. My loadout list has never looked so beautiful. That said I do have one complaint...there aren't enough symbols! From the look of it I would guess the destiny symbols font was used which, in game, is used for PvP kill/death messages and therefore doesn't have icons for things that can't kill you, such as the titan bubble super or any class abilities. At the very least, I would be very grateful if you could get generic icons for guardian abilities (melee, grenade, class, and super) or, as an alternative, the six armor stat icons (mobility, resilience, recovery, etc.), as well as icons for each of the playlist activity types (vanguard, crucible, gambit, iron banner, and trials). https://github.com/justrealmilk/destiny-icons has a good collection of icons that are free to use as well as a linked recommendation at the bottom to easily turn them into a font pack for use.

  • DIM

    Destiny Item Manager (by DestinyItemManager)

  • That's probably best discussed in a GitHub issue. The main technical concern is that the Destiny 2 symbols font uses a Unicode BMP (0) Private Use Area for these symbols so that just providing a CSS web font is enough to display these symbols across DIM. I feel like a DIM custom font would also do that, just with a different area/range.
