Which terminal? The example in the docs works for me on Windows with Alacritty (0 config at all) and Wezterm (no special config, did not compile the wezterm terminfo cause idk how tf to do that on windows). both of which have $TERM as xterm-256color - I checked in neovim with :lua =vim.env.TERM.
