I've been wanting to highlight the file path in my custom statusline so that everything up to the current repo root was dimmed, the root dir was vibrant, and everything after the root was plain. I decided to try using vim.fs and I found a fairly short and simple way to do it. I'm sure there are better ways, but this is what I've got so far. It depends upon [gitsigns.nvim(https://github.com/lewis6991/gitsigns.nvim).
