I agree! They do make you much more efficient. Vim's ubiquity is what makes it so powerful. Unfortunately there are some instances you where you need an IDE like debugging for example. Technically you could set it up in Vim but it's tedious. I used to use VS Code with a Vim emulation plugin before I made the switch over the Neovim about a year ago.
