Hi folks, I've created a Slack App that shows previews for links to stories and comments pasted in Slack. You can install it here: https://news.ycombinator1.com/ (note the "1" in the URL)

I built a GraphQL API to cache the responses and dataload them like 2 years ago on top of HN API so it can give nicer responses and don't hit the endpoint as much. Can load entire HN thread in one request.

It is still incomplete though because I remember you said I could not scrape the site beyond robot.txt limits which wouod be too less for the use case because I wanted to provide write functionality so I gave up.

I tried creating a Graphql API for HN for both read and write so I could eventually use it to write a HN client app but I hit a wall due to HN scraping policy. It limits you to fetching a page once every 30 second.
