yaga VS facerecognition

Yaga, "a Nextcloud initiatory gallery app" came up in my F-Droid search. * Git Hub *‏‏‎‏‏‎‏‏‎‏‏‎­Git * F-Droid * Android Play Has anyone tried it? Any opinions? I'm starting to migrate away from Google Photos, and this looks like it will help immensely.

I am aware of a basic face recognition app (https://github.com/matiasdelellis/facerecognition)

"Nextcloud app that implement a basic facial recognition system" This nextcloud app might do what you want. I didn't try it out yet, so I don't know how well it works.

It seems the only reason they don't suggest a Pi is because it doesn't have a dedicated GPU, and low memory. https://github.com/matiasdelellis/facerecognition/wiki/Requirements-and-Limitations. This page was last updated in February of 2019, before the Pi 4 was released. Other than that, I don't really see anything that would require an x86 processor.
