Creating Expo Plugins
Hey, thanks for the post. I'm the author of Config Plugins, I'll read through your notes and synthesize some actionable items we can pursue to improve the developer experience. One project that could move the needle would be replacing the withXcodeProject parser from the Cordova xcode package to our own implementation which has more accurate AST parsing, types, and docs.

You could have a look at Themer: https://github.com/mjswensen/themer which also has a nice Web app at https://themer.dev It let's you generate your own palette or choose from some existing/ popular ones, then exports settings/configs for a growing number of applications, f.e. vim, tux, alacritty, web browsers, other terminals etc.
