vite-tsconfig-paths VS webpack-bundle-analyzer

Following suggestion in the issue, i looked at vite-tsconfig-paths which is even better because i already have configured vscode through typescript config:

We need vite-tsconfig-paths in order to tell Vite how to resolve absolute paths from the tsconfig file. This way you can import modules like this:

You can use vite-tsconfig-paths on SvelteKit project. And it doesn't work, plese try delete generated folder for dev server like .svelte-kit.

We already have configured path aliases with webpack and tsconfig - so I wanted to keep that behavior. Luckily we have the vite-tsconfig-paths exactly for that. It worked well. I could also try using the alias for that.

I used to use webpack-bundle-analyzer but we have switched the builder to browser-esbuild now.

First start by running a webpack bundle analysis to see what exactly is bundled. You might be surprised about things being included that you didn't expect which can help with where to look.

Firstly I recommend taking a look at the structure of the webpack output with something like webpack-bundle-analyzer for any obvious over bundling issues.

This was my question as well. The article does answer the question, but off the bat I'd assumed the author was talking about output/dist. The web treemap cli is a great tip. If you are using webpack, webpack-bundle-analyzer is a helpful tool for quickly finding bloated packages.
