Open Source Mobile Application created in Flutter for generating QR Codes - Virtual Key
Hi everyone, I would love to share our latest project built with Flutter. We've been developing it for a month, and already have some stunning results! **Our goal is to replace a regular key with a system that will open a lock by reading a QR code from our smartphone. The system is based on Raspberry, but we would like to create it on a budget i.e. ESP32, so every one of you could recreate it in the garage.** *The whole project is open-source so feel free to check it out! We would be grateful for every advice and tip.* **How does it work?** đ ⢠â Generate a QR code in the mobile or website app ⢠â Scan QR with a code reader ⢠â The gate opens for 30 seconds⢠â The device sends an Event log to the website **You can play around at our website** [Key Manager](https://keymanager.theiotproject.com) **or visit our** [Blog](https://theiotproject.com/) **Examples of usage:** ⢠â Airbnb and Booking.com systems ⢠â Regular home/office locks. Letâs put a key in past. ⢠â You can give remote access to a lock by sending an invitation or the same code ⢠â The system will inform you about the exact time the employee entered work and left ⢠And of course: you can mount it on your fridge to keep beer safe (useful in a college!) Please remember: we are students and most of these things are new for us. We are still learning and making mistakes. I hope I interested you a little and you will follow our work. đ¤ **For more information about the project as well as how to build it yourself, please follow us at** [**GitHub**](https://github.com/theiotproject/virtual-key)

How should I learn Flutter and Dart from scratch?
I would say if you donât have any programming experience before, learn programming basics first. Get yourself familiar with variable, control flow, func, class, inheritance, design pattern, and other basic concepts. If you do have experience, start with a project idea. Most common one is todo list. What I chose to do was a workout log app, I started in 2019 knowing nothing about flutter to what it is today: https://github.com/Livinglist/Dumbbell
