H-m-m (hackers mind map)
I love this. Honestly if this had the same tasking capabilities as minder https://github.com/phase1geo/Minder I might just make the jump to it. Using mind maps as a tasking app has worked out well for me.
This project looks very very hackable. Might do a pull request

does anyone know which Software used to create this mindmap?
Seems to be an older version of XMind. However, you can achieve the same result using an open source mind mapper such as Minder.

Coming back to mindmapping software
Have you looked at Minder? I don't know if it will fill all your needs, but it might. You could see if it's in your distro's repositories and give it a try, see if it will do what you want.

What are some beautiful open source apps?
Big fan of Minder - https://github.com/phase1geo/minder/

XMind is one of those programs now ?
There is Minder, it's open source, free (they accept donations if you're inclined), GTK and not Java. It only runs on Linux as far as I know, you didn't mention what OS you're using, so that might be a problem.
