skel-nvim: A skeleton plugin written in neovim
It's inspired by vim-skeleton which I've been using for many years for boiler plate templates. I've just moved all my config to lua over christmas break and could'n't find a lua equivalent of this plugin so I decided to write one as way to help me learn lua.

Is there a way to automatically generate makefiles?
One option is to find a good C++ Makefile template and then using a plugin such as vim-skeleton to automatically fill a new buffer with the template.

How do I use template files via Lua?
Thank you, u/TheLeoP23! skeleton was the missing keyword from my vocabulary and this is what my workaround function was doing. A bit of research led me to a few Lua-based plugins such as cvigilv/esqueleto.nvim and [motosir/skel-nvim[(https://github.com/motosir/skel-nvim). After looking at their source code, they show the Lua commands that I need to get everything up and running... or I just may end up using their plugins, lol.

skel-nvim: A skeleton plugin written in neovim

What are some alternatives?
