Looking for airline replacement
I ended up with 100 lines vs 30 lines. Most of it was writing functions that replicate parts of airline I use, but maybe others don’t. So might actually be less of a concern.

My first (neo)vim plugin
Vim script is readable I agree with that. But just uncommon syntax throw me off. I would create a API wrapper than using vim script. I have done it here.
