vim-localvimrc VS vim-lsp-settings

A big part of 'project awareness' implies (to me at least!) that a project is organized in some meaningful way: test/view/model/service/domain files all relate to one another by their naming conventions and location in the project tree.When I start/join a project I look for documentation of the project's structure (or document it myself!). Then for vim:- use https://github.com/embear/vim-localvimrc - drop a .vimrc in the project so I can tweak vim to suit the project.

Something like Localvimrc?

Is vim modeline a good way to do it? What do you think about that solution: https://github.com/embear/vim-localvimrc?

This is pretty much the last one, but with available commands. One I find particularly useful is LocalVimRCCleanup. I'm not sure how common of a use-case this is, but AutoSource stores the hashes of each file you approved, and a common command I run while testing is rm ~/.autosource_hashdir/* :p

Nice video. I have a similar approach for isolating project specific commands and configurations. I may borrow your idea for a project specific menu to run tasks. For a project dedicated vimrc I use embear/vim-localvimrc for a few years because it has auto discovery and auto change directory for a project, and require confirmation for loading the vimrc file.

I am reading here but still... it seems all OK. It is weird that it was working with ALE with the current setup. Anyway, I noticed that every once in a while I get this error when I change buffer.

Hello everyone, I have this problem when using vim-lsp-settings, that every time my cursor passes through a word (sorry I don't have enough information to derive what type of word, but take Type, Function in Python, or constants (like g:lsp_diagnostics_signs_enabled) and has() in vimrc) it always showing similar occurrences of the word, and I don't want that. Not only it takes some time (highlighting that word cursor is on, and when moving cursor really fast it couldn't catch up), it's usually something I don't really need (well, if it could be configured to be faster and my laptop won't screeching then I'm all in - I'm using thinkPad x270).

I use vim-lsp plugin which only needs a few lines of config. It has several JavaScript language servers listed in vim-lsp-settings.

Then lsp. All four of these: prabirshrestha/vim-lsp; mattn/vim-lsp-settings; prabirshrestha/asyncomplete.vim; prabirshrestha/asyncomplete-lsp.vim

vim-lsp that can be bootstrapped with vim-lsp-settings, for jumping to definitions, etc.
