I began to use Valet Plus when I switch my MacBook and I had to avoid using Docker during the Magento 2 development, I didn't know in the beginning that Valet Plus is a fork of Valet from Laravel and that the main differences are between them, so I added them in this article to let you know too.

This. We use docker (would recommend docksal over ddev but they have essentially the same features) on Mac on large projects and it runs fine. If yr just running a single project https://github.com/weprovide/valet-plus/ is worth testing out.

What‘s your fav development environment for laravel? Does it easy to use?
I was (and still am) a big docker fan but got tired of waiting for a proper build that is not slow af on macOs. I still use it a lot though as it is useful for some specific cases. There's also takeout (https://github.com/tighten/takeout) to make it simpler to manage docker containers.

To be honest, Tent is not an original idea. In fact it's inspired directly from another tool called Takeout by Tighten Co. which is written in PHP and uses Docker as its back-end.
