Super cool. Princeton Ferro (the speaker) has done a lot for Vala. The VSCode Extension with Vala Language Server already provide a wonderful development experience. When choosing a development language, his tooling is what helped me settle on Vala.

Anyways. There is the Vala Language Server, and provides most features you'd expect in a Language Server. Install it in your system and follow the respective instructions for the IDE you want to use.

GIF Like a Pro
On linux, i like peek[0] quite a lot. Its ui is straighforward, and it can export to gif, webv and mp4. However it's only compatible with X11 as far as i know.
