If GNOME is so criticized for heading in a wrong direction, why do Linux vendors and main distributions (with large user base) still pick it as the default desktop for their users?

There's also Ulubis and Paulownia. The latter is not really usable yet from what I understand, but I've not had much luck with Ulubis either.

Source location for deployed binary?
3 projects | reddit.com/r/Common_Lisp | 14 Jun 2022
I'm trying to figure out how to ship the sources together with the Nyxt package (https://github.com/atlas-engineer/nyxt) in such a way that all source-location-related functions (such as swank:find-definition-for-thing) work as expected.

If it was easier though, maybe more projects like Nyxt (currently using WebKit, experimental support for WebEngine/Blink) would exist, or even just have Nyxt reach their goal of being engine agnostic faster.

Got banned from r/firefox for suggesting to set up MOZ_DISABLE_RDD_SANDBOX=1 to get functioning VAAPI. Apparently, an half implemented sandbox in linux is critical to security. One of the mods there is too fanatic and doesn't appear to have good understanding of certain things

Mozilla should just focus on the engine and servo, Nyxt is the future, not their highly opinionated uncustomizable disaster of a browser.

1 project | reddit.com/r/browsers | 30 Apr 2022
Nyxt has a file manager, although it's pretty ad-hoc at the moment :)

Neat and some interesting todo/roadmap items too! Will be keeping an eye on this.
Random thought, perhaps for later: some form of keyboard-centric navigation functionality - boosts your UX differentiation and it likely speaks to your target audience. Something along the lines of Nyxt browser or the popular Vimium extension.
