2fa type - package? any recommendation
But even looking at Laravel specific options, one of the first few results that comes up is antonioribeiro/google2fa-laravel. I haven't looked too much into it. But from a quick glance I see over 700 stars, and that same author has a generic PHP implementation with over 1.5k stars.

Upgrading to Laravel 9
pragmarx/google2fa-laravel doesn't support Laravel 9 yet. There's a PR for that and I reckon it will get merged soon. I recommend you check it out and comment and maybe even see if there's something you can do to get this merged faster.
