twitch VS tmi.js

Not to be confused with d-fischer's twitch.js which is now called twurple

I'll be using twurple for integration with Twitch APIs, but that's for later.

Now that we’ve created our Stream Online subscription, the next step is to send it to Courier, which we’ll use to create and deliver notifications about our Twitch stream. To do this, we need to add a call to Courier's Send API when a stream.online event comes in. We'll use the Courier Node.js SDK to do this. We'll also use the Twitch.js library to query the Twitch API to grab more details about the stream that we can send to Courier.

tmi.js - Interface for NodeJS

TMI[1] is a library that serves a very similar purpose but is still actually relatively maintained (the last commit on the main release branch of twitch.js was back in late 2021 - the main branch has more recent commits but it is not a great sign there has been no releaae since late 2021)

you can use tmi.js (https://github.com/tmijs/tmi.js), a JavaScript package, to achieve the first. and then write a html file which integrates the tmi.js part and the showing image part. Last, you just need to add a browser source in OBS.

I saw that some people are currently getting the same error as I do on Github so I was hopping if someone of you got a fix for this

Basically I made this simple app after seeing https://tmijs.com/ and I thought it would be a cool little script/app to make.
