Perl script to add indentation (leading horizontal space) to LaTeX files. It can modify line breaks before, during and after code blocks; it can perform text wrapping and paragraph line break removal. I use latexindent to format LaTeX with LSP and null-ls (or probably you can use it with Ale as well).

LyX to full on LaTeX editor?
Professional programmers don't hand-format code; they write code to format it for them. In LaTeX's case, latexindent.pl (comes with TeX Live and MiKTeX) is what you want.

Indenting TeX files using latexindent.pl?
Other than that: It's kinda funny to still see alternative (La)TeX parsers implemented and maintained in Perl. :-) And, OMG, what gems.
