How do I get a static IP for free?
If you're just looking to do something simple like host a game server on your pc the easiest option is port forwarding with upnp if your router has it. This eliminates any fuckery with networking, all you have to do is enable it in your router and use a software that can open ports via upnp, i personally use portmapper.

Can someone help with port forwarding?
You can use UPnP PortMapper. Source code/Download. All you need is Java and that's it. Hope this helps.

Been looking for an answer for a month
Check if UPnP is enabled, if so, use that to open port 80: https://github.com/kaklakariada/portmapper

UFiber WiFi and Xbox NAT type Strict
Ok, so that shouldn't be hard to test, right? So I set up a test PC and run portmapper (https://github.com/kaklakariada/portmapper) to try uPnP to open ports. To test if they're really open, I use ncat on both ends. Doing that, with both udp and tcp ports worked fine: ncat allowed a two-way conversation from OUTSIDE the network to the PC on the inside. So, uPnP works, right?

We just made our first home webserver for Nextcloud, and I'm happy to share it!
Are you talking about this? https://github.com/kaklakariada/portmapper No, the issue seems to be external. Between my ISP, the domain services and the SSL certificate provider. I honestly dont know much more beyond that. Locally I can access the server through the new port I changed it too (2443).

Would there be a way to redirect all traffic over specific ports to another ip on my lan?
Maybe not exactly this solution, but I need to start by asking SOMETHING š. I have a ps4, and would like to use remote play outside of my network, to do this ports 2925~2927 need to be forwarded. UPnP us enabled, and it is supposed to do it by its self, but it is only opening port 2927. I do not have access to the router, and cannot manually specify forwarding rules. I CAN however use portmapper (here) to open ports. I am on windows 10. I don't know the exact standards of UPnP, but i am unable to open a port to another IP besides my computer's. The idea i have atm (i know this is probably a long and round-about-y solution) would be to have everything received on port 2925~2957 just be passed through. Better ideas are welcome š¤£.
