I've decided to fork Flutter Quill Rich text editor and do a general cleanup, add docs, tests and new features. During the refactoring I'll be recording YouTube episodes about code quality and software architecture in Flutter
I'm really looking forward to seeing how you can improve it because the only competition, super_editor, still seems a long way from implementing some of flutter quill's key features like the Delta support
You should check out super_editor instead of doing this. It’s the best rich text editor for flutter out there that is actively being developed.

There are three that I know: - SuperEditor. - zefyr -- not sure if it's still maintained. - flutter-quill -- similar to zefyr in implementation.

I guess it will be another month or two. There are already working prototypes, but we're not yet fully happy with the result. Look at this fork to see some of the current state: https://github.com/osaxma/super_editor - I hope it's all consolidated in in the main package before August.
