[AskJS] Websockets - is it possible for a client to forge their sessionId?
Websocket is also not a protocol. It's a way to send and receive bytes - a socket - but how you interpret those bytes is up to the underlying protocol. We use stomp which covers our needs well, and one of its features is including an custom headers to the 'CONNECT' message.
