How can database libraries be compared to each other?
There is also groundhog, which I used with sqlite in a toy project, but that was years ago. I can see it had a release this year, which is a good sign.
What are some alternatives?
mysql-haskell - Pure haskell mysql driver
mywatch
rethinkdb - RethinkDB client library for Haskell
esqueleto - Bare bones, type-safe EDSL for SQL queries on persistent backends.
eventful-dynamodb - Event Sourcing library for Haskell
HongoDB - A Simple Key Value Store
Neks - A dead simple networked key/value store
hocilib - A lightweight Haskell binding to the OCILIB C API
traildb - Haskell bindings for TrailDB
ampersand - Build database applications faster than anyone else, and keep your data pollution free as a bonus.
beam - A type-safe, non-TH Haskell SQL library and ORM
groundhog-converters - Converters targeted at the groundhog library. Though it can be hard to tell sometimes!
