I'm not sure about the official Denon integration (or if there even is one) but I'm using a 3rd party one (I think its this one) and it does relay its on/off status to SmartThings

SmartThings Wi-Fi Smart Plug Edge Question: 7A-PL-W-A1
I personally prefer the old tasmota-connect edge driver cuz it's open source and has been working fine for me: https://github.com/hongtat/tasmota-connect There's also a newer driver by the same author on the community that's closed source and is limited 5 devices unless your pay to upgrade.
