i'm kind of nitpicking though and i think melee needs more of this kind of analysis, so that people stop using needlessly vague terms like "advantage state". I expect slippi-js can be used to remove a lot of the manual tallying?

Surprisingly easy thanks to the rad devs behind slippi-js and slp-realtime. If you have a bit of programming experience, especially with javascript, you should be able to program things to your liking pretty quick.
