Running a dedicated local server for a VS Code debugging session using tasks
If you want to see this in action, you can fork the simple to-do demo and run it locally. Make sure to have http-server installed via NPM.

A launch.json to turn VS code into a full web development IDE
This turns Visual Studio Code into an environment that gives me everything I need to build a web product without ever leaving it. If you want to try it out, you can use my bare bones vanilla JS ToDo app as an example, which already has the correct launch.json.
-
Turning a GitHub page into a Progressive Web App
As a reminder, you can host HTML, CSS and JavaScript files on GitHub as pages. For example, I have bare bones To Do app at https://github.com/codepo8/simple-to-do with an index.html document.

I open a project inside VS Code by opening its folder. The demo used is a simple, plain Vanilla JS/CSS/HTML ToDo app you can download/fork on GitHub.

AMA: We are Anna, Alexa, Elizabeth, Igor, Lomesh, Matthias, and Michael from the Growth team Ask Us Anything about growing the Internet Computer Ecosystem
Yes, I am aware of MioQuispe's create-ic-app repo which supports Vue, TS, Svelte, etc. but I've tried setting up several different projects in Svelte and I keep running into nuanced compile issues that hinder my ability to deploy on the IC—which makes me sad for obvious reasons. What I secretly(?) want is for Yan Chen's Elm project to be officially adopted by Dfinity so I can marry Motoko with the functional beauty of Elm, but for now I'm able to play with the minimalistic Mithril thanks to Paul Liu's reversi example.
