I have a Ledger Nano X and prefer to use it as I want to keep my coins for longer term in a cold wallet. I followed the How To, but it requires Chrome via https://wallet.siacentral.com/ (not Sia UI app on Mac OS). So I used Chrome to create a Ledger Wallet, linked it to the device and moved the funds over and it appears to be working.

I would like to open my Sia Central wallet. To do so I go to https://wallet.siacentral.com/ and enter my passphrase.

You can use https://wallet.siacentral.com/ ( this works with a Ledger too).

I connect my Ledger to wallet.siacentral.com in Chrome, I generated an address, and when I try to receive funds to it by clicking the Receive button, I then Connect my Ledger, then I click Verify, choose Generate Address from Key #0, then it shows me Compare (1/2) and the key, but with no option to accept any current command or anything. The green Verify button stays highlighted as if it wasn't even clicked (i.e. it's not hanging), and nothing happens. Any ideas?

So... I went back to my desktop to see if I could still access my assets on wallet.siacentral.com there... and now it's rejecting my seed phrase. My desktop is also rejecting my seed phrase in the SIA UI. It's saying it's the incorrect password.

Kraken is both for great. If you don't like holding on an exchange you can either use the light wallet at https://wallet.siacentral.com/ or download the Sia UI at sia.tech (this requires downloading the entire Blockchain)

It will totally be capable if Filecoin can start to get their tech in order. However, Skynet is not only capable of this but encouraging devs to get things up and running on the network.

In the end both of these concerns you have in regards to the mass adoption are negligible since the introduction of Skynet. With Skynet the only people that will ever have to be running any Sia software will be just the hosts. Skynet is kind of like a intermediary between the end user and the Sia network. The end user (you) will never need to buy Siacoin or install any software in order to use the Sia network. What happens is you essentially pay for the storage using your normal means of payments through the use of websites and apps like Skyspace, MARStorage, Filebase or Siasky. They in turn handle all the technical details of getting your data on to the Sia network. So once enough developers jump on board and enough websites and apps have been built on Skynet, the average end user might not even know what Skynet is even though they are using it every single day because it is the new internet. All they will know is there is less adds and things seem to work a bit differently.

I'm making this a separate reply so you are sure to get it. But make sure you also go sign up an account at https://siasky.net as well. It keeps track of ALL your data that you upload and download to and from Skynet through the Siasky portal.
