u/_Famiu_ Ideally, I would only need to provide the locations(uri+range), and new text(or edit operation), the neovim should handle everything for me. Also, in the preview, is there a way to toggle on/off the changes (select and confirm). One example is global find and replace e.g. https://github.com/ray-x/sad.nvim where I can preview the replace and I can select where I want the replacement to be applied.

There is this https://github.com/gabrielpoca/replacer.nvim, I do not know if it breaks bqf's preview feature as well or not as I haven't used them together. It lets you edit the qf window and save the changes, and also edit the file paths to move files around if you desire.

I find replacer.nvim pretty amazing.

I don't know what vscode's search and replace is like, but I find the combination of junegunn/fzf.vim and gabrielpoca/replacer.nvim very useful.
