Watermelon db withObservable forward ref
A good alternative would be using the useObservable hook instead of withObservable HOC, I'm using watermelondb, and I'm using the hook for almost every case, you can also take a look at react native freeze if you use react navigation it helped me alot with performance.

5 Years of Hacktoberfest
If I remember correctly, this was the first year that repos needed to opt-in for Hacktoberfest. So did I on one of my repos and received the first contribution ever. (It was a library with a few additional RxJS operators, later rebranded into RxJSx.)
