Host a Dev Environment on Render with VS Code and Tailscale
I've been curious about Tailscale for a while, and now a use case for their "zero config VPN" has presented itself. Render's developer advocate, Chris, and founder, Anurag, were recently in touch with the Tailscale team to figure out the best way to use Tailscale on Render. It's possible to run Tailscale in the same container as a Render service, but we found the experience smoother when we deployed a tailscale subnet router as a standalone Render private service. Either way we need userspace networking mode.
