the solution is react-native-reanimated. reanimated helps us to create smooth and performant animations with minimal setup, with a lot of helpers, and is relatively easy to use. another useful library for handling gesture animations is react-native-gesture-handler which is defined as:

One of my first impressions was the vast difference in ease of usage of the React Native Gesture Handler in comparison to React Native’s Gesture Responder System. For swiping in mode screens I use Reanimated with React Native Gesture Handler. In sound shop swipe is implemented through a simple ScrollView which is built into RecyclerListView. I didn't quite understand the second part of the question tho

Your PanGestureHandler is handling all the clicks. Please check this library from Software Mansion: https://github.com/software-mansion/react-native-gesture-handler You can replace PanGestureHandler with other handlers. Last part is to import TouchableOpacity from RNGH and it will work out of the box.

I got this error when I was importing from a library such as react-native-vector-icons:

I don't even remember where I downloaded Feather.tff but the codepoints are different from this one and this one. But maybe you have the same font I do installed? Does fc-match ':family=Feather' show a result?

I tried 'RNVectorIcons' package in my react native project using the following link react-native-vector-icons.I used pod install command in my terminal.But I got the following error in my terminal window.

Tip: although I used a Text component to make the X button, I strongly recommend you to use an icon instead. A very good library for that purpose is React Native Vector Icons

Also thanks to oblador for making the library and the original directory, I use(d) it pretty much every day!

Also, there's a site that someone built for a react-native plugin that shows all of the icons that are available. It's just a long list of icons broken down by the font type.
