react-native-controlled-mentions VS formik

I would like to add '@user' functionality to the chat and posting features of my app. Does anyone have any alternatives to using this library? for u/user functionality? It seems like this is no longer supported: https://github.com/dabakovich/react-native-controlled-mentions

7. Formik and Yup

Forms are often tricky to get right with React. While there are great libraries like formik or React Final Form to do the heavy lefting for us, handling file upload still isn't always straightforward.
