This is a very simple carousel that you could make but if you want a more advanced carousel, you could either use an npm package like react-responsive-carousel or read the source code of these packages and try to make one yourself. I would say that making one yourself will be a really good exercise for your react skills.

Ha, just did this recently and used this one https://www.npmjs.com/package/react-responsive-carousel. Made some local changes to override colors and threw in some new buttons. But yeah no one has time to make custom carousel components.
