Question: Is there an rbenv for Crystal?
There is the older crenv. The backend, crystal-build, is unmaintained but I worked for a while to rewrite it in Crystal (crystal-build-cr). It's not super polished but it works for me to install new versions of Crystal when they come out.
What are some alternatives?
asdf-crystal - Crystal plugin for the asdf version manager
awesome-crystal - :gem: A collection of awesome Crystal libraries, tools, frameworks and software
Autoenv - Directory-based environments.

kemal - Fast, Effective, Simple Web Framework
rbenv - Manage your app's Ruby environment
crystal - The Crystal Programming Language
pyenv - Simple Python version management
mpngin - A simple and fast URL shortener with built in stats.
asdf - Extendable version manager with support for Ruby, Node.js, Elixir, Erlang & more
