Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

WHERE to build/host your first website?
Yes. charlesstover.com is hosted at CharlesStover/charlesstover.com. quisido.com is hosted at CharlesStover/quisido.com. acealters.com is hosted at mtgenius/acealters.com (a different "GitHub org," but still owned by me). I also have Dota 2 HUDs, MTG Commander Banlist, and MTG Planechase, among others. All are hosted for free.

Cheapest place to host a static website?
My portfolio is hosted on GitHub Pages.

I was so preoccupied with whether I could, I didn't stop to think if I should: support hot-swapping AWS and MUI design systems.
Sure. It's all on GitHub.

Who else is still up right now working on log4j - CVE-2021-44228
I've used the internal dark mode and I love it. You can see a demo of it on my portfolio at https://charlesstover.com . It's just as easy for console teams to implement but there's always higher priority tasks for these services.

I launched LazyI18n 2.0, an exceptionally easy way to lazy load translations in React. I'd love to hear your feedback.
This is used in Amazon CloudWatch, but you can see it in action on my portfolio (though not all text is translated) by expanding "Settings" in the left nav and choosing a different language. You'll see the new language translate most text and English be the fallback when that translation does not exist.

I created a helper library for lazy-loading translations in your React app, and I just launched 2.0.
You can see this in action on my portfolio, where you can change the language under Settings in the left-side navigation. You may want to slow your download speed deliberately to see the transition.

Best File Structure
bulletproof react
-
Beware of teammates who refactor code based on personal taste without proper documentation or completeness. Sounds familiar.
Well I’d definitely have a file structure in place. I use bullet proof react as my go to. But I mean like…I’d say there’s probably 10 things causing 90% of the problems. So things like folder structure, yes, but also how long the files are, I mean…how enmeshed it all is…maybe the naming conventions.

What's the best component / folder architecture for a project to scale?
Your approach is similar to bulletproof-react, which I personally love. I have built projects of all sizes with it and the DX was always nice! Check it out if you want and good luck on your project 😁

Are there any react js best practices websites?

Inspiration for my first React project
Not sure if this helps, but Bulletproof React is a very good architecture to React projects of any size. Maybe it can give you some insight on how to structure your project. Good luck!
