[Discussion] Start of an attempt at porting to Snapdragon 410/412 (MSM8916) devices
Some extra information about the whole thing: Every device from here) could be ported as long as they have 64 bit firmware available. All of these devices need to run the lk2nd bootloader from the msm8916 mainlining team in order to eventually boot Batocera.

Check out Plasma Mobile Gear 21.12! This release packs tons of new features and apps, improvements to performance and stability, revamped interface designs, and much more. Highlights to look forward to: gPodder syncing in Kasts, MMS support in Spacebar, and the migration from oFono to ModemManage
On my Galaxy A3 2015, dual boot is supposed to be possible by installing postmarketOS to an SD Card and Android on the internal storage (which I did), and then the phone is supposed to boot pmOS whenever the SD Card is inserted or LineageOS (Android) when it's not, but that doesn't quite work for me.

BQ Aquaris X5 battery monitor
Hi u/TheRedBased, I haven't seen your message, I tried searching on matrix but I didn't found anything (it has been some days I haven't checked the main channel). As u/PureTryOut pointed out matrix is better for support. Anyway, for the battery to work you should flash the new lk2nd bootloader version as there are some dependencies check in it for the battery to be detected https://github.com/msm8916-mainline/lk2nd/releases/tag/0.8.1

Port for SM-A500H
Maybe lk2nd does not support your model though, I would guess that it needs to be added here: msm8916-samsung-r08.dts, consider joining https://matrix.to/#/#porting:postmarketos.org and ask about it, or open an issue in the lk2nd repo
