Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

How to develop OOP plugins for WordPress without using the Singleton Pattern?
He also wrote this plugin which I think serves as an interesting example of oop in wp: https://github.com/carlalexander/passwords-evolved. The event management/subscribers concept in particular caught my as it is reminiscent of the symfony event dispatcher component.

wordpress-to-jekyll-exporter - One-click WordPress plugin that converts all posts, pages, taxonomies, metadata, and settings to Markdown and YAML which can be dropped into Jekyll (or Hugo or any other Markdown and YAML based site engine).
plugin-update-checker - A custom update checker for WordPress plugins. Useful if you don't want to host your project in the official WP repository, but would still like it to support automatic updates. Despite the name, it also works with themes.
