Figma to Flutter: Parabeac 4.0 Updates to Components
In Parabeac 4.0, Parabeac Cloud and parabeac_core’s latest update, we’ve simplified the way that components can be referenced. Now, you can directly reference a component as a child. Let’s jump into it!

Figma to Widgetbook - parabeac_core v2.4
Many development teams creating component packages in other frameworks will use tools like Storybook.js for testing. For Flutter, Widgetbook is one of the best options which is why parabeac_core now has the option to export the code to be immediately testable in Widgetbook. Here's how!

Calling All Africa Flutter Developers & Figma Designers!
In partnership with our Parabeac Africa Chapter led by Will Odia, we are throwing our first challenge where you can win up to $300 USD by building an app prototype or component package using Figma, Flutter & Parabeac! You can use parabeac_core which is our open-source tool that converts Figma files into Flutter code or Parabeac Nest which is a web app that enables you to take the design file, generate code, and merge it into a Github repo.

Generating Isolated Component Packages for Flutter
Our open-source Figma to Flutter converter has been used across various projects. While many developers will include UI directly in their Flutter project, we learned that for other companies and projects, the best use case of Parabeac was generating components, particularly for projects looking to scale. With the uptrend of tools like Storybook & Component Isolation that help test & scale UI, we decided to add changes to parabeac_core that enables this development workflow.

Figma to Flutter: Parabeac-Core v1.2
Thanks to our amazing contributors, Parabeac-Core has Windows support through the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL2)! We added a walkthrough guide on how to set up WSL2 with Ubuntu and install the necessary dependencies to run parabeac-core. We're excited to expand into more devices and to hear from the Windows community! Check out the guide here! Thanks to @roel-de-vries, @Gulianrdgd, @snwagbata for putting together the guide!

Flutter and Apple Vision Pro
In the Flame discussions page, there is a request for 3D, and Flame developers write that they will be happy to start working on support once when Impeller is stable on most major platforms. So what can the community do? 1) Create discussion topics, just like these posts. Or in other discussion forums. 2) Learn about Impeller, Filament, Flame, and Flutter and be willing to contribute to their development. 3) Join Flame now and try to do something or contribute. 4) Study the implementation of Flutter 3D, and try to do something together with ARCore or ARKit plugins.

How to build a real-time multiplayer game with Flutter Flame
Flutter is a UI library to build apps that run on any platform, but it can also build interactive games thanks to an open-source game engine built on top of Flutter called Flame. Flame takes care of things like collision detection or loading image sprites to bring game development to all the Flutter devs. We can take it a step further to introduce real-time communication features so that players can play against each other in real-time.

Collecting info for a "getting started" FAQ
Haha I'll take a stab at it, anyone can feel free to correct me. Can I use Flutter to make 2D games? You absolutely can. Resources like the Casual Games Toolkit can provide you a kickstart into game development in Flutter. For more advanced features, options like Flame offer in-depth standardized game features like particles, spritesheets, and raytracing/raycasting. Can I use Flutter to make 3D games? While it is possible to stitch together libraries containing OpenGL, there are limitations for indepth, robust 3D development in Flutter. You may be better suited with other game engines such as Unity or Unreal.
