You can inline LaTeX chapter/section break commands even when processing Markdown, and in several ways (dropping \newpage directly in the content before chapters, using header templates, as YAML metadata in the Markdown file, even on the command line).

Really? Should work with any OpenType font. Are you generating in a language that doesn't use roman-ish alphabet? You're not wrong that working with TeX can involve a lot of yak shaving in general. Sometimes finding the right template can solve a lot of problems. I use Eisvogel. https://github.com/Wandmalfarbe/pandoc-latex-template

If you really want to go that route, take a look at pandoc and ping me if you have questions. Pandoc in combination with the Eisvogel LaTeX template can be a quick way to get a really good-looking doc.

I want to use this template : https://github.com/Wandmalfarbe/pandoc-latex-template And it's not really great with HTML export which is why I need a PDF preview.

I looked for pandoc templates, and found "eisvogel" (https://github.com/Wandmalfarbe/pandoc-latex-template) although I still did not like how it rendered as I wanted it to look like a dissertation.

I write Markdown files in VIM and compile them to a PDF using pandoc. I use the eisvogel LaTeX template to make the document more fancy.

Yes, I used https://github.com/noraj/OSCP-Exam-Report-Template-Markdown and included vulnerability details, as well as how to fix the vulnerability and it got lengthy which I think was unnecessary, but I tried to make it nice and be thorough. I probably should've put more time in trying to fix the other issues I had but oh well.

I am in the process of redacting my report. In fact, I have already documented all 10 machines and all exercises in the lab. However, i have still a question regarding the expected content of it, as the official template as well as some famous templates such as this one mention a whole introduction section containing among all introduction, objectives, requirements, methodologies...

I researched more about pandoc and decided to convert my Markdown documents to docx first, edit them in LibreOffice (Page Breaks, better Table of Contents), and export them to PDF for submission Test your report conversion before the exam.
