You just need a sysroot for that distribution... you actually don't want to compile ON that distribution as it makes having a consistent toolchain a lot more difficult.
Notably, I compile for CentOS 6 (ancient, right?) on whatever the latest version of Ubuntu is--using the most recent versions of clang and rust and whatever--and simply build my sysroot using this trivial script.

Orchid VPN on linux
Hi, anyone tried running orchid on linux box? I like it very much on my android phone and I'd like to have use orchid vpn on my linux too. I downloaded the linux package, I went through https://blog.orchid.com/orchid-is-now-available-in-beta-for-windows-command-line/ so as to create my orchid.cfg, I read all https://github.com/OrchidTechnologies/orchid/issues/89 but still I cannot start it so it gives me VPN for my browsing on that linux box.

Tor: From the Dark Web to the Future of Privacy
> People can do things altruistically - there doesn't always need to be a bitcoin-style monetary incentive.
For a few years Oniontip [1] allowed tipping Tor relay operators with Bitcoin. In my opinion that was a quite nice combination of technologies, as it allowed to anonymously tip operators of a service providing anonymity on the internet.

Thousands of Tor exit nodes attacked cryptocurrency users over the past year
There was a pretty nice project a few years ago, awarding Bitcoin to Tor node operators called Oniontip [1]. All Tor operators had to do was to add a Bitcoin address to their Tor contact info. Donors would transfer Bitcoin to a Oniontip-operated Bitcoin address and Oniontip would regularly pay out the Tor operators proportional to the bandwidth they provided to Tor.
That did work remarkably well, but unfortunately the author lost interest at some point and took the whole project down.
