Wireguard connections not resetting/very sticky
Previously, when primary WAN resets, Wireguard would jump onto failover, but not jump back once primary was restored. This is a problem when failover shouldn't be used except for emergencies, e.g. it has limited traffic. This is issue 3325.

Setup guide for DuckDNS on new Dynamic DNS setting?
But the latest ddclient plugin still has a bug that will keep spamming DuckDNS every 5 minutes: https://github.com/opnsense/plugins/issues/3344. So I still keep using the old dydns plugin for now.

Enable Zerotier via script
So, I have a feeling the answer can be found at https://github.com/opnsense/plugins/tree/master/net/zerotier, but I cannot make sense of what is there.

Unmanaged switch between Converter and Firewall
So, my solution was to add a USB to Ethernet converter to my firewall and use that as my WAN port. It works, but now I have a problem in OPNsense that the USB to Ethernet converter toggles between up and down and therefore I also lose internet connectivity at home every time it does. I can force myself to lose internet by running speedtest.net and using 1Gbit/s up and down. The USB to Ethernet converter cannot handle the speed and therefore I lose internet. This seems to be a known problem (https://github.com/opnsense/src/issues/180, https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=252165).

OPNsense 22.7.5 released
Thanks for the report. Full context is https://github.com/opnsense/src/commit/4c12612ed5a51d46 which was approved by Intel to be included. It's not part of 13.1 although on stable/13 branch for eventual 13.2 inclusion... so reverting may make sense if there is no sensible workaround.

WAN Vlan tagging
The solution was started here: https://github.com/opnsense/src/issues/114. Not sure if it landed in a release yet. I compile it by hand for now.

What makes System 6 bootable?
so I guess it should be possible to automate a few things (scan for 0x4c4b, block size found 0x414 bytes after, #of blocks 0x412 bytes after, volume name at 0x424)... mmm... I could also automate the losetup this way on linux... The partition table can be detected by 0x4552, and the details here...
