openesignforms VS signature_pad

I've used esignforms[0] to DIY document signing, its a bit complex to setup but what stands out to me is that the own authors do not endorse the software for legal purposes because the software has not been audited.

Sure it can. You just need to capture the signature and insert it as an image. You can capture the signature with signature pad: https://github.com/szimek/signature_pad and insert the image into your pdf.

Relatively straightforward, using mpdf and https://github.com/szimek/signature_pad.

If you look at version 2.3 (https://github.com/szimek/signature_pad/releases/tag/v2.3.0) you’ll see that it does have a dist folder.

This component is built on top of perfect-freehand, a library that lets you draw perfect pressure-sensitive freehand strokes. Most of the methods are based on the signature_pad library.

I believe you can use TCPDF to generate a pdf with digital signature certification through PHP, and something like Signature Pad to capture the signature using javascript.

A canvas element with some js should be fine to actually capture the signature. I wound up using a plugin myself. There are plenty, but I think this one is pretty good. Signature Pad.
